Terminal punctuation marks are used to end sentences. Terminal means the end. Three of the fourteen punctuation marks are terminal and are appropriate for endings sentences. They are the period, question mark, and exclamation point.

This worksheet will focus on the period punctuation mark used in declarative and imperative sentences.

The period punctuation mark can also be used as a decimal symbol when writing numbers.
