The interjection is a part of speech which is more commonly used in informal language than in formal writing or speech. An interjection is a part of speech that demonstrates the emotion or feeling of the author. The function of interjections is to express emotions or sudden bursts of feelings. These words or phrases can stand alone, or be placed before or after a sentence.
