Comport

Definition:

1. to fit with or act in a certain fashion
2. conduct onself; behave
3. accord with; agree with

verb

I’ll use it in a sentence:

● The Judge ordered Jimmy to leave the courtroom, because he did not comport himself, in a dignified manner.

● Because Daphany’s article, titled: “Intersex- The Christian Viewpoint”, dosen’t comport with the mainstream views, of a few intersex advocates in leadership roles, the article was criticized and condemned.

● If the inmates dont comport themselves in a  peaceful way, the prison warden, will order a lockdown.

● To ensure Lisa’s work conduct, comports with the company’s guidelines; she was advised to read the entire employee handbook, prior to her start date.

Next, on a sheet of paper or in the comment section below, write a few sentences, using the word: comport.

Tip: Use the word during a conversation today. The more you familiarize yourself with this word, by consistently incorporating it in your vocabulary and writing, the easier it will be to remember the word. Figuratively speaking, you’ll own the word.
